Margaret K. Arnold, 1910-2003, Sedalia
Margaret K. Arnold, 93, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003, at the home
of one of her daughters.
She was born July 20, 1910, in Cooper County, a daughter of Edward N. and Mary
A. Gramlic Klenklen. On June 18, 1935, in Clear Creek, she was married to
Albert M. Arnold, who died Nov. 22, 1990.
Mrs. Arnold lived and worked on a farm with her husband. She was in charge
of milking the cows, gardening and cooking. She was a 4-H leader, a gardener
and a baby sitter for her relatives' children. She loved children. She was a
member of St. Joesphs Catholic Church in Clifton City. She was an active member
of the Altar Guild.
Surviving are three sons, J.E. Arnold, Albert Arnold Jr. and Ernest Arnold,
all of Sedalia; four daughters, Mary Ann Burford, of St. Louis, Catherine
Arnold, Sharon Doll and Alberta Miller, all of Sedalia; six grandchildren; a
great-grandchildren; and several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by an infant sister, Anna Marie.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel,
with the Rev. Tom Albers officiating. Pallbearers will be Lee Arnold, Roy
Miller, Dennis Arnold, Richard Miller, Lonny Dochterman and Jamie Vogler.
Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Gramlic, Henry and Linda Perkins, Helen
Seifner, Willie Klenklen, Edward Klenklen, Becky Vogler and Juanita Burford.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m.
Thursday at the funeral chapel, where the rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m.
Thursday with visitation to follow.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Bothwell Regional Health
Center Hospice in care of the funeral chapel.
